Four doors, one courtyard — choose where you would like to go.
Singer. Composer. Author. Melbourne-born, heard worldwide — carrying shabad kirtan from the sacred to the global.
Manika Kaur is a singer, composer and author based in Melbourne, Australia. Her album Sacred Words entered the World Music Charts Europe — the first time Sikh Kirtan reached the chart — and her voice has been heard at the United Nations, in cathedrals and on festival stages across five continents. Producers from Talvin Singh to Martin Glover (Youth) have woven her kirtan into contemporary sound — the harmonium and sarangi kept exact, the horizon widened.
Harmonium breathes. Sarangi weeps. Cello holds the ground. In Manika's arrangements, ancient instruments meet electronic texture — never to replace the tradition, only to carry it further.
